About:Jiuzhaigou Travel

Hi, we will stay 2 nights in Jiuzhaigou in march, 2016.

Is it possible to visit the major scenic spots by ourselves in this time or should we hire a guide? Will it be too much cold in march?

Surely you can visit by yourselves. The guiding signs are clearly marked both in Chinese and English, so you can easily find your ways. In my opinion, a tour guide may help little in enjoying the natural scenery.

Will you travel in early or late Mar.? In early days of the month, it shall be still a little cold. Downjacket or overcoat shall be needed if departing in early morning. If in late Mar. it will get warm and the highest temp even reaches around 18C. Generally, the weather condition can be pleasant to travel then. In addition, I wanna remind you that light rain may happen from time to time, and it will stop soon. Make your own desicion if simple rain gear is needed.

The temperature may range between 50F and 64F, and it may rain. So, you are advised to take coat, sweater, shirts, long pants, and an umbrella. Have a great trip! :)
