Is vape/ electronic cigarettes allowed in hand carry bag?

Pau, I read that Chinese domestic airlines allow passengers to bring electronic cigarettes on board. However, they are not allowed to smoke. Please consult with your airline whether it can be brought on board because I am afraid that different regulations are implemented for international flights.
