About:China Student Visa

Student Visa, longer than 150 days but not X1.

Hi, I'm an Indonesian living in Qingdao. My current X2 type expires at Jan 28. My new X2 expired at June 26, but my school program is until July 8. Can you help me to find solutions? Thanks.

Dear, I think you can apply for an extension of your X2 type before it expires on July 8. It’s very likely to get passed because you just need another 15 days or so to finish your study.

Not much to do... You might have to go to Hong Kong to get it changed, I used to live in Qingdao, beautiful city but Qingdao university will not do the least bit to help you, a sense of hypocritical

I got this information few days ago:
"If you don't reside or work in Hong Kong permanently, you are required to apply Chinese visa from the Embassy or Consulate-General of Peoples' Republic of China in your resident country." from their website

So can I get X1 student visa from China's Embassy in Hong Kong?

Jhnjssc, yes, it’s their stipulation, but in real practice, your application may be approved. Someone did apply for it successfully. You can have a try.
Or you can just apply for an extension in mainland PRC and it’s very likely to be passed.
