About:Hong Kong MTR Tickets & Fares

MTR fares and Octopus Card

Hi, so basically the fares that is used from Octopus Card is the same with single journey ticket, which based on the distance travelled, but there will be some discount? And, is there any application that can point us which transportation best used to reach a destination in Hongkong *like TripViewLite for Sydney users, for example*? Thank you.

Yes, you can enjoy some discounts when you using Octopus Card.
You can download Hke Transport on your mobile phone. Then you can input starting place and the destination. The APP can provide several transport plans for you.
