About:Kunming Travel

Baita Lu / Renmin Donglu to Kunming South Bus Station

The travel agent at the hotel said it costs 100 RMB by taxi which I cannot believe. Instead of discussing fees with taxi ddrivers on the road, I am thinking of going by bus. What would be the best bus to take and from which bus stop? How long does it take? Is it ok to go on the bus with luggage (suitcase)? Or will there be a space problem ending in the bus driver not taking me along?

Actually, taking bus is not the best choice.
You are suggested to take subway line 2 at Jiaosanqiao Station, get off at South Ring Road. Then transfer to subway line 1 to get to South Bus Station, Exit B. After arriving, walk east around 220 yards (200 meters). It's ok for you to take subways with suitcase. Don't worry.
By the way, if you take a taxi from your hotel, it costs around CNY 40 to get to the bus station.
