do i need visa for transit in Shanghai

hello, I'm travelling from VietNam and carry Vietnamese passport. I'm about to book my flight and it'll connect in Shanghai for about 6 hours, and then will leave Shanghai to Canada. Do I need a Chinese entry permit for this? Can you please let me know?
Thank you,
Jetti

Jetti, you don’t need it because you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit.
