About:Beijing - Shanghai High Speed Train

Advance ticket purchase

Do I need to book in advance for high speed or can I buy it at the Hongqiao station on the day of travel? I would need to travel in September and would be travelling business or first class.

From Oct 1 to 7 it would be the holiday time and ticket during and around these dates are hard to get. If you can avoid these date, it would be much better. Also, for the short route like shanghai/hangzhou etc would be easier to get then long distance trip. You can check the availability online often after they begin for sale(60 days) and decide it based on the availability.
