Zhangye for Rainbow Mountain

Hi...I have second thought. Is it really worth it to go for Rainbow Mountain only? Based on my reading it really depends on the day's weather to see the beautiful colours of the mountain. What's the possibility of catching the magnificent view? I have to factor in the possibility since it involves spending on train ticket from beijing, accommodation, entrance fee and transportation to the mountain. Thanks so much for your feedback
