Foreigners arrival & staying with Friends (Chinese Citizen): Information / Procedures be adopted

I am an Indian. After arriving at Chengdu, I shall be moving to a city in Sichuan and is likely to be a guest of one
Chinese family, for a very few days. It is expected that they shall receive me at the Railway Station. I shall be having a 30 days Tourist Visa. It also may be that I shall be visiting different places from that center/city, and also is likely to go to Lhasa by train ( in such an eventuality, I shall commence my return journey from Chengdu itself by air ). In such a situation whether my host and myself shall have to report my arrival at the designated Police Station or elsewhere. Could any one, please guide me ?
