About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Wanting to travel China for a period of 2 months?

Hi
I'm an Australian wanting to backpack through PRC for around 2-3 months with my wife.
Is it possible to do this in one trip (1 entry)?
If so what visa do I apply for and if not what are my options?
Thank you
Matt

Matt, I think it's possible to do so. You should apply for the L type and stating that you need a 2-month stay duration on the application form. Your round-trip tickets, hotel bookings, as well as travel plans are required for submission. The consular officer will make the final decision based on your situation and things you provide. If unfortunately you do not get such a long stay duration, you can possibly extend your L type after entering PRC.
