Question

1)What is the bus schedule like from Redlands to Kunming? I'm planning to catch earliest bus but before that head for sunrise shots . 2) Do you think i can manage to visit and enjoy Drgaons Gate and Dianchi Lake once reach at KM. Because at night i'll be taking a sleeper cabin bus to Shangri-la  maybe at 20:30.2) I saw a photo posted from a blogger, there are windmill/windturbine at Redlands. Where is that located? What is the nearest, budget and good review hostel/guesthouse around there. I'm not sure how to online booking for my 1 night accomodation since I'm from Malaysia and dont speak  a single chinese.

1&2: As I know, only one pass-by coach can take you back to KM directly from the Redland and it leaves around 13:30. It takes 4-5h to get back. So you may have no time to enjoy the two attractions on the same day. 3. It is true. There are some windmills at Damakan Area. I remember it is only 10min driving distance from the Redland Scenic Area. For accommodation, they are almost farmer's house or hostels, gathering in Huagou and Huashitou Villages. Usually, it only costs CNY50-80 per room. I'm afraid it is even impossible to book, but you can easily check in one on the spot.

Helen, thank you very much.  So if im taking the direct bus from Kunming, can the bus driver suggest where to stop for accommodation?  Since I've been reading the bus driver can drop right in front of the guesthouse. Oh no, that will be such a miss.  I really hope i cant do both places. Hmm

Maybe, it denpends on the drivers. But most of the drivers are nice and would like tomake a stop nearby the guesthouses for the convenience of visitors. Good luck!
