About:Chengdu - Leshan - Emeishan Intercity High Speed Train

We are hoping to travel by high-speeds from Chengdu to Leshan on 15th December late in the day.

We are staying at the Sofitel Hotel.
Is it necessary to reserve tickets before we go to China or can they be easily purchased on arrival one or two days in advance?
Which is the best station to leave from?
Can we just get a taxi from the hotel to the station?

If you book in advance, it would be safer. We have booked them upon arrival, ans many approaching rides have been sold out, we have to delay for several hours. The trip start from Chengdu East station, you could take taxi.
