About:China Visa Exemption

French national travelling by train from HKG to Guangzhou and returning some day. Visa required?

Yes, you need to apply one according to your purpose of visiting in advance. But I am not sure if you can apply in HK because the regulation says that those who apply there must provide their valid HK resident status.
