Is it correct there are are only 2 ferries per day to Guangzhou? Is Nansha port far from the centre of the City and how much does the ferry cost?

No, from HKIA, there is only one ferry that take you to Guangzhou Nansha Port scheduled at 11:15 every Thursday and Saturday. The fare is 356 HKD per person. This port is far from the downtown area. Take Haizhu Plaza as an example, the distance is about 45 miles (75 kilometers).

Pesonally, it is more convenient to take direct long-distance bus instead. The bus schedules are from 07:00 to 22:45 with the interval of around 30 mins. The duration is about 3.5 hours on the way. It costs 220 to 250 HKD per person. The main get-off stations in Guangzhou are the Garden Hotel, Jinan University and Hotel Landmark Canton.
