About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

London To Beijing then Linyi

I plan to fly from London to Beijing where i connect to Linyi. The return is the reverse except that the home flight also stops in Dusseldorf to connect. I plan to be in China for about 25 hours. Do i need a Visa?

Jim, does Linyi refer to the city in Shandong Province in PRC? If yes, you cannot use the 72 hour policy because it stipulates that you can only transfer in one chinese city. And it is too risky to use 24 hour direct transit because you stop over for more than 24 hours. Thus, you are advised to apply for a transit permit in advance.
