Born 21 June 1978, looking to have better career opportunities.

Should i start a consulting biz while working full time, or should i just stay working full time working in companies till i retire? I am aiming to clear of most of my debts by end of 2016, and though its looking dim, i am still working at it. Do you think I will be able to have a stable career with increased income come end of 2015 and entering 2016?
