hi, i am chinese, my husband is british, we plan to back to China during the coming spring festival for 3 weeks,    does he need to apply for Q1 OR Q2?, he also wanna travel to China at least twice per year

Dear, whether to apply for the Q1 or Q2 depends on his stay duration in PRC. If he only spends the festival and then gets back to the UK, it's advised to apply for the Q2 type. As you said, he wanna travel at least twice per year, he can apply for a multiple-entry Q2 type.
