Newly aquatinted; I'm a monkey 8/5/80 and he's a rabbit 8/15/75 should we attempt dating?

We have lots in common; we both have a West Indian background but as per the zodiac calendar our match is only 40% and so I'm not entirely sure we should take it further. Although the zodiac calendar said the monkey is most compatable with the ox, and rabbit but yet we have a low score. I need your advise please.
