About:Hangzhou City-Bus and Taxi

We are going to Hangzhou free and easy 1 day only by ourselves.

Go from Shanghai Hongqiao railway station to HZ East railway station. We plan to visit West lake, Hefang bazaar street, tea plantation. Pls advise if it is ok to take a cab and drop off every point and wait for a cab again to go to another point on the public road after my itinerary. Does the taxi ply along these tourist spots to pick up? Or do you have better suggestion. Thanks

Of course you can take different cab for each ride. No worry.
About other transport methods, from East Railway Station to West Lake, you can take subway line 1 to Longxiangqiao, then stroll to the lake side.
As West Lake is a very large water area, I don't know where you 'll start to Hefang, so sorry unable to suggest a public transport. But taxi is fine and convenient.
From Hefang to tea plantation, you need o make several transfers if by public transport, so taxi is better. Have fun~
