About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travel Thailand to Shanghai to Hong Kong - eligible for the 72 hour transit visa?

Hi

Am I eligible for the 72 hour free transit (UK passport holder), since I am leaving Thailand to fly to Shanghai and then onto Hong Kong? (I'm not sure if HK is considered as part of China in this scenario or not)?

Liz, in this scenario, HK is considered as a third region, so you are eligible for the 72 hour free transit.
