Hi there, my girlfriend and I will be flying into Chengdu late on a Friday evening in April. What would you recommend we do to maximize time? Thinking of going early Saturday morning and doing Leshan and the Buddha in the morning and heading up to EMS in the afternoon, staying there for the night at the foot of the mountain, hiking up early and maybe sleeping the night up at the summit and heading back on Monday morning to Chengdu to catch our afternoon flight. Yes, your travel plan is nice and doable. About the return way from Emeishan to Chengdu Airport, you can take direct high speed train. The train schedules are from 07:20, 09:17, 10:48, 12:22, 14:10, 15:46, 17:31 and 20:47. The duration is about an hour.
