Questions for Hike, hoping for clear answers that can help me plan better :) THANK YOU

Hi

1. I will be travelling to HuaShan from Huashan North Railway and i am wondering where exactly can I find the bus (and or taxi) bringing me to HuaShan. May I know the frequency, cost and total duration?

2. I will be arriving at 8am at Huashan North Railway and am planning to go straight to HuaShan to climb most mountains. Could you please advice me on the route to take, and the average duration needed to climb the mountains. Also is it safe to climb the mountains during Winter on 30 Dec 2015? where should be avoided?

3. From bottom North & West HS to tourist centre, how long and how much is a taxi ride respectively? Are there any alternative methods of travelling to the Tourist centre? If so how much and how long?

4. Where do you suggest I deposit my luggages if i am Coming from HuaShan North Railway? What are the charges and what are the directions from North Bottom and West Bottom respectively? From the place Ive collected my luggages from, how do i go to Xian Railway Station and Xian North Railway Station respectively?

Do you want to do it within one day? If so, you are suggested to take cable car up and down to save time. Hereunder is the answers:
1. Upon arrival at Huashan North Railway Station, walk for 50 meters, you will find the free shuttle bus(green color) from the station to Huashan scenic spot. There are two buses, one is bus no. 1 and the other is bus no. 2. They have the same destination but bus no.1 takes about 5 minutes and no.2 takes about 15 minutes. The bus is available every 15 minutes. If you take taxi, the fare is about CNY20 per cab.
2. Upon arrival at tourist center booking office, you can take a shuttle bus(CNY20) to the place where the cable car available to North Peak and the bus journey takes around 20 minutes. It takes about 3 hours hike from North Peak to East Peak, about one hour from East Peak to South Peak and another one hour to West Peak. Then get back to the foot of the mountain by cable car from West Peak. It is no problem to climb the mountain in winter, but the temperature will be very low, so please take the warm clothes and slow down your pace if it snows.
3. It takes about 20 minutes (CNY20) from tourist center to cable car station to North Peak and 30-40 minutes(CNY40) from tourist center to cable car station to West Peak. This information is for shuttle bus, not taxi.
4. I suggest you deposit your luggages at the tourist center. The charge is based on the size of your luggages, normally CNY1 per hour. But please remember to retrieve your luggages before 18:00. From the tourist center, you can walk across the square to take the same bus back to Huashan North Railway Station and then take train to Xian.

5. It takes 6 minutes to North Peak by cable car and 20 minutes to West Peak by cable car. It takes about 4 or 5 hours to hike from Yuquan Yuan to North Peak. There would be less people climb mountain in winter. Most groups take cable car up and down from North Peak, so it is recommended that you can take cable car up North Peak in the early morning and down West Peak to avoid long queue.
6. The West Peak cable car stop running before 5pm or 6pm in winter. You are suggested to take the cable car down at around 4pm.
7. As for the bus back to Xian Railway Station, you can take it at Yuquan Yuan with a cost of about CNY35 per person. The bus is available every 40 minutes and the ride takes 1.5-2 hours. Actually, taking train back to Xian is the most convenient way for the day trip. The bus schedule is not very stable in winter.
8. It is fine for you to take cable car up West peak and then take a cable car down North Peak. Both routes are OK. The difference is the route from north to west is uphill and the route from west to north is downhill.
