You can take direct long-distance bus from Hongji Bus Station. But there is only one schedule every day at 17:20. It takes around 11 hours on the way. The ticket fare is CNY 260 per person.

Or you are suggested to take bullet train from Hankou Railway Station, and arrive at Suzhou Main Railway Station. Then walk to North Square Bus Station and take direct coach t oTaicang. The bus schedules are from 6:00 to 22:00. You can choose the way you like.
