About:Wushan

boat ride to danning river(3 lesser gorges)

we arrive in wushan in January of 2016..me question is: the boat tour in the daning river is on in winter(January 2016)? ,and if is on the tour, it's on every day ? how long is the tour and how much?..another question ,from wushan we go to shanghai, are there is any train from wushan to shanghai?,thanks ,nestor.

Nestor, it's ok to visit Daning River in winter. The boat departs at 10:00. According to some travelers, there should be at least 10 passengers at least. Otherwise, the boat won't leave. it takes 4 to 5 hours to have a short trip. The entrance fee is around CNY 150, including the cruise ship fee.

There is no direct train from Wushan to Shanghai. You need to take bus to Yichang first and then take train from Yichang to Shanghai.

You know, the best time to visit Lesser Three Gorges is from March to August. If you plan to see the red leaves, you might go there in November.
