About:Huangshan Travel

G train railway station to yellow mountain

will arrive huangshan railway station by G train from beijing, plan to stay one night in the mountain and one night downtown.

any area recomended for the hotel in downtown ? plan to take cable car to the mountain, from which area i can should take the cable car. how long is the distance from mountain to railway station ? what transportation is better ? by bus or taxi and how much it cost ?

I have no idea of your budget, so I can just tell you a general suggestion. The Huashan Hotel in Tunxi District can be a good option. It is close to Tunxi Old Street. You can easily walk there for fun.

There is more than one cable car to the mountain and the Yuping Telpher is closest from Tangkou, the main entrance. U can go to Tunxi Bus Station to take a direct bus to Tangkou and catch the cable car.

By high speed train, you will arrive at HS North Station, which is almost 50km from the mountain. Direct buses are available there. It takes around an hour and the fare is CNY20. By taxi, it costs CNY150-180.
