is suzhou safe town?

I'll be there next dec. I will be travel alone. Is it a safe place to travel alone? what about taxi? is taxi safe, and can speak english or at least know simple english?

Yes, you don't need to worry about the safety problem. It's ok for you to travel alone. But you are not suggested to go out alone in deep night. As I know, most taxi drivers cannot speak English. Maybe you can print out the destination in advance and show the paper to them when you getting on the taxi.
