Would getting a Z visa nullify my 10 year tourist type?

Hello,
I have a 10 year multiple entry tourist type. Now I am going to apply for a Z type. Does that mean my tourist one is cancelled upon receiving the Z type? I really hope not, because that 10 year tourist type is really nice.

Daniel, I don't think so. But I suggest you confirm this with Chinese embassy or CVASC centers in your country. Here is the phone number for the CVASC in Toronto.

I just called the office. Sadly, they will not allow me to keep both tourist and Z type. Once I get the Z, they will cancel my tourist type. I was very discouraged because getting another tourist type is a hassel.

You cannot get 2 valid China entry permits simultaneously. You have to give up the 10-year L type.

Hey Daniel, I have the same concern, instead mine is a S2 visa, so we can still get the Z visa but they will omit the 10 years one right? what if we decided to get s2 again, will that be permitted?

Dear, you can only hold one PRC entry permit each time. If you apply for Z type, your S2 type will be cancelled; vice versa.
