If you apply for a Chinese Z visa, you should ask your Chinese employer to help you get the work permit. Such a permit is acquired from the local labor bureau. It's impossible for you to acquire one in Bangkok. Then you should take the work permit and other documents to apply from Chinese embassy in your own country.

Dear, if you work in PRC with a tourist L type, I’m afraid it’s illegal. You are advised to apply for a work Z type directly.
