About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Separate nested itineraries

If I have two nested itineraries, will this still work? e.g. Itin #1 USA-PVG-USA, Itin #2 PVG-HKG-PVG, flown in the order USA - PVG (72 hr) - HKG - PVG (72 hr) - USA

Would it be possible to take advantage of the 72 hour visa-free transit in both directions?
