Henry, it's about 55 miles (89 kilometers) from Badaling to Jiankou. There is no direct bus. You need to change public buses many times. The estimated time is around 7 hours. The distance between the two sections is 43 miles (70 kilometers). If you transfer public buses, it will take around 4.5 hours.

I am afraid that you can't visit any of these two sections in a day even you hire a car.
