Can I fly with the receipt of my visa change?

I just handed in the forms to change my visa from one entry to multiple entry and the receipt says it is my official document to legally stay in China while they have my passport. But I'm flying to another place in PRC in a few days, is it possible to fly with the form they gave me?

Hi Brian,
The PSB of Shanghai told me that it's possible to travel, even by plane, with this paper.
