i have a question concerning how to get to mianshan mountains from pingyao:

We will arrive in Ancient Town Train Station early in the morning. Can we take a bus or taxi to Mianshan directly? How much does it cost and how long does it take? Do you think we can make a day trip and catch our train back to Beijing at the same day in the evening (around 16:00)?Thank you !!

If possible, you can get off at Jiexiu East Railway Station, rather than the Ancient Town Railway Station. Upon getting off, take the city bus (CNY 3) to Jiexiu Railway Station, then change to the specail bus line (CNY 10) to Mt. Mianshan. If having to getting off at the Ancient Town Railway Station, you can take a taxi to PY Coach station first, then take a coach to Jiexiu, then change to the special bus line to the mountain area.

If taking a taxi, it may take about 35 mins, and the fare is about CNY50-60.
