About:Bao'en Temple Pagoda

Change student visa to working Z type

Hi, I was graduated from a Chinese university in Wuhan and I am still in Wuhan now. I got a job at the same university but need to change my student X type into working Z type. Do I need to go back to my country to ask for the Z type, or can I apply for this in China? Thank you.

Tahiry, I don't think you need to go back to your country if the school is willing to help you. If they can provide you the work permit and invitation letter from duly authorized unit, you can go to the exit and entry management office in your residence area and change your X type to the Z type. Then you need to renew your residence permit.
