It says that pandas eat bamboo and some small dead or alive animals. So does that mean they are omnivores or are they herbivores.

But under food it says "occasionally dead or small animals". So I think they are omnivores because the definition of that is an animal that consumes both meat and plants.

Pandas are originally carnivores. That's why they can eat small animals and such. But in order to maintain their species, they had to evolve to be able to eat bamboo. That's why now, their diet is almost exclusively bamboo.

They eat bamboo, some other grasses, and wild tubers. But they also will eat carrion (dead animal). In captivity they may eat honey, eggs, fish, yams, and shrub leaves. So yes they are omnivores

Omnivores? Most definitely. 99% of pandas diet is bamboo, but that is not all. The fact that they are omnivores is because of them feeding on little animals and carcass. Helping that they have a carnivore digestive track.
