About:China Student Visa

Teaching Internship

Hi, i am in the process of completing a TESL course and plan to teach English in China with an teaching internship (named 'immerqi'). They require me to pay a student visa fee of $550 AUS. Is this very expensive? And would you know if i would have to pay another amount on top of this when i visit the consulate in Melbourne, Australia (which is where i live)

Thanks

Hi Michael, if you plan to do practice teaching at this organization, I think you should apply for an F or Z type entry permit, rather than the student X type. The X type is used for study purpose instead of work purpose. Anyway, when you apply for the X type or Z type at the CVASC center in Melbourne, you need to pay 109.5 Australian dollars in total. I don't know why the company charges so much.

I don't know much about it, but it seems like an educational institution, so maybe that's why you are asked to apply for a student X type.
