Timing the Visa Application

I plan on applying for a multiple entry permit visiting between 22nd February - 11th April 2016
When should i apply for it? If i apply in early december will the 3 month validity run out whilst i am in China?

Or does the validity start from the date requested (February 22nd)

Hi Jack, the validity period starts from the date of issue. So if you want to enter and exit and re-enter before April 11th, you can apply for a six-month multiple-entry type. So that the validity of the entry permit is six months and you can re-enter before April 11th. In this case, you can apply in December. But I advise you to apply in January to maximum the utilization of the entry permit.
