About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Help! How do I ensure I am allowed into China on the 72-hour Visa-free Transit?

Hello,

I am an Australian passport holder but live in Singapore. I need to visit Shanghai and return back to Singapore within 48 hours. How do I ensure I am allowed into PRC on the 72-hour Free Transit?

Thanks.

Hi, Rob. The route Singapore-Shanghai-Singapore is not qualified to use the 72 hour policy. According to what you said, I advise you take a flight to Macau or Hong Kong first, and then go to Shanghai and return back to Singapore. In this case, you are eligible to use 72 hour free transit.
