You can go for the Shanghai railway station and take the high speeds to Suzhou railway station which is clser to the city center. The price can be lowered to CNY40 for second class seat.

If you like, you can choose an agent online for the booking. You can also buy it directly at the railway station after your arrival.

Some of them may fully booked if you get there too late, but since many rides available if you are not very tight in time, it is OK. BY the way, if you are worried about the availability, you can buy it as soon as you arrive China instead only onthe day of travel.
