About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Single Trip Ticket

If I am flying a single trip ticket from Sydney-Guangzhou-New York, and there is a 8.5 hours stopover in GZ, can I apply for the 72-hour visa-free transit?

Or can I use the 24 hour Direct Transit since I'll be there for less than 24 hours? Thanks.
