About:Prohibited Items

Do these have to be declared or can we just pack them in our check baggage?

We will be returning to China to teach and would like to take garlic salt, oregano, basil, and some other spices.

Garlic salt is ok. I am wondering if oregano and basil are fresh ones? If so, I am afraid that you can't take them because fresh vegetables and plants are not allowed.

No we were going to take dried ones. Thank you for the thought on fresh.. Would not have taken but good reminder.
