why was confucianism a good belief system?

Personally, the most important part is that it stresses some basic qualities people should have, such as Kindness, Righteousness, Propriety, Wisdom and Trustworthiness. All its ideologies encourage people to be of noble morality, which accelerates the improvement/development of society.
