About:Stone Forest

Kunming Railway Station to Stone Forest

I will be staying in Enjoying Hotel not far from the Train station.Please,can somebody let me know if there are direct buses to the scenic area from the Bus station near the Train Station. Which is more conveinient? by bus or by train and if by bus which bus I should take and from which Bus Station?

As I know, no bus is available from the rail station. Anyway, here are the recommended ways:

By train: take a train to Shilin at the railway station. The train leaves at 7:30, 10:09, 11:15, 15:40, and 18:45. The duration is 1.5 to 3 hours. The hard seat costs CNY 14.5 or 18.5; the hard sleeper costs 60.5 or 64.5; the soft sleeper costs CNY 97.5. After arriving, transfer to a tourist shuttle bus to reach.

By bus: take bus line 60 from Railway Station (Yongsheng Road), and get off at Dongbu Jiaotong Shuniu (Eastern Transport Hub/East Bus Station). Then, take a long-distance bus to the scenic area. The long-distance bus fare is about CNY 25, and the duration is around 1.5 hours.

Just choose the way you like.

There are Tourist Special Express buses departing from the Railway Station from 10:10 am to 7:10 pm every day. It departs almost every 30 minutes and it costs about RMB 25.

But I heard all direct tourist buses leave from East Bus Station now since Mar. 2015.

Hi, the East Bus Station is on Hongqiao Road, Panlong District, around 13km from the train station. You can take a taxi to reach in 15-20min at a cost of CNY30-40. By bus, take bus no. 60 and get off at the terminal station, which is close to the bus station.
