About:Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport

I got a long layover in Xiamen Airport.

Got a long layover, can I somehow stay in the terminal instead go to hotel?

Well, you can stay inside for overnight. As I know, there are several fast food restaurants like McDonald's, KFC and some cafes that open for 24 hours. You can stay in one of them to kill time. Don't worry.
