As I know, there are over 8,000 discoverable figures in this scenic spot nowadays. The government doesn't uncovered them all. Only some parts of them are excavated and become the tourist spot.

OVER 8,000!  there were also hundreds of other figures as well, such as horses and weapons, that were also built.
