Getting a ferry from Zhuhai to HKIA where do I check in?

I am getting the ferry from Zhu Hai China to HKIA do I need to check in at the ferry port or do I need to go through Hong Kong immigration to check in at the main check in desks. i am flying with Etihad

No, you can just check-in at Skypier upon arrival. It's not necessary for you to check in at the main service counters inside the terminal building.
