ReplyI think his biggest achievements were imperial examination system and Grand Canal. Thanks to the imperial examination system, the royal court could find the most talented people to be officials.
Emperor Yang was blamed for building the Grand Canal because many civilians were forced to work and a lot of money was used. However, this canal connected southern and northern China together. Food and goods were transported between southern and northern areas. It created great economic benefits.75Reply -
