How to get to Chaoyang from Sheraton Shantou

we will be staying at the Sheraton and like to visit Chaoyang where our family is from. what is the best way to get there? Thanks!

Hi, I wonder if you refer to the Chaoyang District of the city, which was called Chaoyang City in the past. If so, I suggest you take a taxi from the hotel to the Central Bus Station at a cost of CNY15-16. There you can easily take a bus to Chaoyang. It is also fine to rent a taxi for a direct travel and the cost shall be CNY120-150.

Is it easy to rent a taxi to Chaoyang District? What about getting back to ST? We will be traveling with a young child and want to make sure everything is set before our trip. Also, are there private drivers available?

Yes, it's not difficult for you to find a taxi nearby your hotel. So you don't need to book it in advance. After touring around, there are many taxies or private cars that can send you back. Don't worry.
