Musical Instrument

Hi, I would like to ask about musical instruments.
I have a Snare Drum and I had it for 11-years, I sent to my Friend's repair& service Drum Shop in The Philippines to get it tuned and fix.

Would I need to get a form from Chinese Customs Shanghai and ask a permit so my friend could use DHL or FedEx Service to send the drum back to Shanghai?

Could you please advise what is the best thing to do?
Thank you.

You needn't ask for the form from Chinese customs. Musical instrument can be shipped to China. However, your friends might be required to pay the duty in order to get the drummer from the customs. It's still possible that the drummer passes the customs successfully without being taxed too.
