usa passport holder, can i get instant china visa upon arriving?

I'm coming back home to the U.S. from Saigon Vietnam. I have no China letter or organization invitation, what can I do to get instant one to visit Shenzhen?Thanks you

Dusty, Americans can't apply for the five-day VOA for Shenzhen. You have no choice but prepare all required documents for L type and apply from Chinese consulate. If you are in a hurry, you can ask for rush service. If you are approved to apply through rush service, you are able to get your L type on the same day you submit your application. Please remember that you need to go to Chinese consulate as early as you can.
