how far can i go? can i still use can travel permit?

I want to get a transit visa flying from Indonesia to U.S. Through CAN with a 65-hour stopover in CAN.1. On a transit permit can I register at Guangzhou hotel the first night and stay in a hotel in Zhongshan the second night?2.if my flight goes from CAN through PVG (2hour layover) on a separate ticket but I have both tickets confirmed then to U.S.

Yasha, if you apply for the transit type in advance, then you have no problem even your flight transits in Guangzhou and Shanghai. And you can leave Guangzhou and stay in Zhongshan.
